Re: How would you design a trailerable power sailor?

. . . and an unstayed cat schooner rig. How does one step and unstep an unstayed cat rig on such a big trailer boat, unless it's done conventionally with a crane or derrick? i think it has its challenges, one may still need to use a MRS and tabernacles. but with carbon masts being a lot lighter, an...

Re: How would you design a trailerable power sailor?

my dream trailer sailer is 33' by 10'.
more traditional styling, pilothouse!
with our unique hull we are working on, better planing performance, better sailing performance.
set up with twin outboards for redundancy, and an unstayed cat schooner rig.
with asymmetrical bilge/ lee boards

Re: High Sides

I agree with boat, i actually prefer to "reverse park" the boat, its a lot easier than trying forwards, i also run a bow line( outside the shrouds :) ) back to the helm, and have a stern line ready with it as well, , and i can step off in a dignified manner and simply snug the boat up! As for traile...

Re: Sliding galley

one of the first mods i did, besides resolving the unequal steering, was to change the galley hose, to its own thru hull, stop cock and a smooth bore hose, so that it drained better and didnt plug up with food debris. so now the motor well has its own drain hose, with a thru- hull in the motor well,...

Re: Hard top Dodger

1st yup still working on that. needing to build up funds as i go along. a 5' model was built of the :macm: and also one of the proposed boat hull, they are going to be tested in a wave/tow tank. once the hull configuration is all figured, then its onto the "easy" stuff of designing the rest of the b...

Re: Where is everyone?

i love this forum, and always felt that we could all be honest about our beloved boats attributes and their shortcomings, after all every single boat is a compromise to some degree or other. i was on a Fb page and got banned cos i dared disagree with the admin about some point or other, that i cant ...

Re: 26M fuel tank

i am in the process of making an aluminum fuel tank that goes under the stern berth, in ali, with fill and venting to the outside, so no smells trying to get the weight lower, and free up some space in the cockpit. found plastic ones that would fit, but really didnt like the idea of them not being 1...

Re: transom mods and info please. new engine install.

so cant help with your other questions, but here is a pointer for transoms in general.
drill your hole through the transom oversize- then fill hole with epoxy, then when cured- redrill hole correct size- that way you get a good seal on any core material- and prevent water ingress and rotting.
