Peak "the Generator" headsail

Does anyone have any experience with "the generator" from Peak Sails? It is a Genniker. A nylon Genoa.

Right now I have a 90% jib. I am wondering how it will work for a second headsail for light wind.

Re: Galley Table

I have purchased a Lagun Table Leg for my cabin table. Not quite sure where I'll mount it yet, need to get in and play with the range of adjustment and motion to decide. Here's a video about the Lagun. https://youtu.be/ndgkur197js The Lagun Table leg looks perfect. Let me know where you decide to m...

Re: Galley Table

As in everything in a sailboat...everything is a compromise. The original design was a table that swiveled from over the sink to the table position. I am going to try to stay true to the original design.

Re: Galley Table

Sumner,

I saw your version. I like the versatility, but I was wanting to create a version that would store over the sink. As usual...you are the gold standard. It is always good to get your feedback.

Re: Galley Table

Could you send a picture? Does your boat have the sink located to the center or on the starboard wall?

I am home for the holidays and have a the opportunity to some walnut that could be used for a nice table top. Does someone have the dimensions of the entire galley area or the original galley table size?

Re: New Radar Arch

Highlander - Are you planning on mounting a mast joker to it for travel. Let me know how it works out.

Has anyone used an aluminum version to support the mast? Does it come in pieces so that a dowel rod can be placed in the middle cross bar?

The Fishon website is a find.

Re: Bilge Pump location for 1985 Mac 25

I am not sure of the layout of an ‘85 25, but if it is close to my ‘91 26S, there is no one place to put one permanently. Sum er’s Website has good suggestions for 2 permanent. I have chosen to go with a portable automatic bilge that I can move to an area if needed. It has a 10’ house so that I can ...

Re: Rigging for single handed sailing

Boat as usual you are spot on. I meant "cam" not "clam". I hear you guys on the tiller pilot, but I have been working on my sheet to tiller self steering with some success. It is awesome to have the boat tuned and watch it stay on a heading by correcting itself. I may one day break down and go to th...

Rigging for single handed sailing

I am working on setting up my 26S for single handed sailing. I have purchased used deck organizers. I am wanting to know has anyone used clam cleats instead of clutches for the down haul and for the main sheet. I know a clutch would a preferred, but can a clam cleat be used. I am just a cheap skate ...

Re: 140lb 9hp long tail motor for emergency kicker?

Just know that a 9.9 is the largest rated motor for a 26S. I have a 9.9hp and a 5hp. The 5 hp will push the 26S as long as the current is not too strong. We have a strong current in the rivers (creeks) in our area (2-3knts) and so I needed the 9.9 hp to push it all conditions. In flat conditions you...
