Re: A liitle Feedback with respect to the MAC Bump
:macm: I too have overdone the bump - bending my trailer ladder. Because of a very steep ramp I ended up with a gap of about 2'. So to overcome this I fixed teflon skids on top of the carpet, once the boat was out I could simply winch it the rest of the way. Not sure if I would transport it very far...

Building a new M trailer in Australia
:macm: I have a 2006 model and the trailer is now rusted beyond repair. Has anyone built a new trailer in Aus, preferably Melbourne or is the cheapest and most sensible to start with the new aluminium frame that Philip imports and go from there. I have read some threads but they seem like mods of th...

Wet Slip without bottom paint
I too have contemplated the joys of leaving the boat in the water. Problem is we do a fair bit of motoring and the nature of antifouls is course/rough - thereby producing large amounts of friction which slows all boats down. I have recently come across a product called PURESEAL ANTIFOULING made by t...

Yamaha FT50 CEDL Prop size - help?
I've beeen following a thread on the same topic, and checked my prop size today, after reading Moe's suggestion that the leg and gear box were built for the larger motors. IThe prop size is 13 7/8th x 13. WOT only gets me to 5000 rpm and about 15.5 knts. Ambient temp is 30, with water temp about the...

US Miles per hour conversion to knots
Hello all
Can anyone give me a simple comparison of miles per hour (US) to knots. I use as a rough guide 1 knot equals 2km/hour.

Import from US
Phillip I imported an '06M to PNG. Freight US$7K, plus GST @ 10%, 50hp Yamaha 4 stroke plus Fish finder and GPS and all the other necessary accesories came to about A$70. You cannot import a new one into Australia as Synergy have the exclusive agency and I was unable to find anyone who would pack an...

Importing from the US
Jimmy When you start to look around you'll actually find lots of 26X's in Aus. There is no doubt the X's have maintained their value since the release of the :macm: . That said I have recently imported an :macm: into PNG direct and with the freight bill at US$7000, plus GST (10%) and Yamaha 50 4 str...

Which Motor?
I've spent days reading the merits of motors & props and size. Mac Export advises that I void warranty if I go beyong 50HP, however we will often want to traverse 20n miles or so here in Lae PNG when we get our new M. We are limited to either Yamaha or Suzuki - should we go 50/60 4 stroke or 85 ...
