There is a bolt sticking up on my MacGregor that seems to perform no function except to gouge the underside of the sliding hatch.
With the sliding hatch all the way forward, I can barely see it and can reach under there a feel it. It is maybe a 3/16 bolt (or a stud) that is pointing straight up from the rear of the non-sliding portiong of the pop-top and has scraped a long gouge on the centerline of the underside of the sliding hatch. My only guess would be that it was meant to be a support for the middle of the hatch and maybe should have a little cap or plastic piece on top of it to help when someone steps right in the middle of the sliding hatch. Or it could be the item that keeps the hatch from sliding off the tracks completely.
Anyway, I am looking for a fix since all it is doing now is putting a weak crease right down the middle of the hatch. Bummer.
Thanks in advance for your help,

I think the bolt is meant to keep the hatch from sliding all the way off, but on your boat it seems to have worked itself up higher than it should. I have two I think on my Mac 25. I would think you should be able to cut a bit of it off to keep it from scraping the hatch. As long as there is enough to keep the hatch from sliding off you should be good2go.
