Hello,
The LPT12 (dimensions you listed) will fit. Sometimes you have to make the opening wider by 1/4" or so. However, Tempo is no longer making LPT12 fuel tanks and the Moeller 12 is too tall.

The tempo tanks are still available here but they call them sceptre at one place and tempo at another (same thing?) same litres 45 and same measurements I have one of each.
Actually found you can get 50L in and leave some air space but wouldn't do it unless you are going to use them quickly on a cool day as they lift the seats anyway.

My Mac came with 2- 6 gallon tanks. Easy to fill up and put on the boat. I can't see myself hauling a 12 gallon tank from the pump to the boat...but then I'm a recently retired civil servant !

I doubt anyone hauls their 12 gallon tanks back and forth from the gas station - -- they either pull up to a marina fuel dock or use smaler fuel containers to refuel.

A 12 gallon tank will not be classified as portable in some jurisdictions (Canada I believe) so it will need real mounting and hardware.

We fill ours as close to the ramp as possible or at waterside pumps.
We also have the original etec tank and four 20 litre cans as a top up (very carefully) option.

Boblee,

What is the original E-tec tank? Mine didn't come with any.

Nick I think it's about 6 gallons and two of them do fit endwise in the lockers but they were too costly here at $120 each the best option is a stainless 40 litre tank sold here which leaves heaps of room under the seat for all sorts of bits and pieces.
Cat no 0702x very dear but probably could be made much cheaper although steel is going through the roof here.

40 litres is about 10.5 US gallons, right? $300 for that is pretty expensive - - - and that price is without the fuel quick connector - - - that is extra - - - and only one tank!!

Man, I'm glad I have two 12 gallon tempos (+ a spare I paid $50 for) :P

Bet you don't have to pay $150 Aus for a 12 gal tempo either :x our prices are why we can shop direct O/S and still save when freight is added unless we can make our own or work a deal.

I have two of the 12 gallon tanks and agree that they are not portable at roughly 100 pounds when full. We have holes cut in the cabin seats for access to the tank fill hole. By using an automotive transmission size funnel, it is easy to refill the tanks with a five gallon portable container. I have two of these 5-gallon containers so its pretty easy to have them topped off. :macx:

Tom
Why do you have holes cut in the seats or is that a silly question, the seats lift up.
