On a similar subject,do you know how far forward a tang would have to be mounted on the bowsprit to take the stock furler outside the bow pulpit?
Dan
On my Mac19 when I added the 4ft bowsprit I beleive I gave it a 9" raise at the 3ft point so all I had to do was add a large quick release under the furler this gave me the option of rigging the furler 3ft out on the bowsprit with the quick release or move back into the bow tang with the Q/R removed this way I kept the furler forestay at its original length ! here's a pic

on my 26M I have tangs at the 2ft & 3ft points on the 4ft bowsprit / anchor roller for my genny furler & one at the 4ft mark for my Spin, the eyelet at the 3 1/2 ft mark is for attaching a safety harness for those of us that want to go for a crazy ride !!!! of course I've already been out their without the harness shouting videos ? !

I know that does'nt make sense

, you can see where the tangs are going to be mounted in this pic

PS I'll try and post a better pic of the bowsprit tomorrow morning on the boat , so if you move your furler out to your desired length "possition" while using your mast raising system to hold up the mast of course add the length of the Q/R and you will know how much of a raise you'll need to give your bowsprit pole I personally think they look more salty when they are raised like the one on my Mac19
Here we go in this pic below you can see the two pad eyes one up front for the Spin , the second one I removed for now from the square opening on the cat walk floor was for a safety harness when one wonders out their for a joy ride but I used it for something else so I have to buy another to replace it ,

in the next pic the third one is to extend the genny furler out to the 3ft mark with longer base tangs , the fourth tang is for the genny furler at the 2ft mark
