wooden flooring for Mac26 classic

Fellow Sailors, I have seen in many personal pages nice wooden or wood-like floors in Macs. There are different options, including some rather pricey (?) synthetic floor boards. Examples can be found in the link below:

In some cases, the flooring material is glued down. Maybe by now there is sufficient experience in the use of these materials that recommendations may be ventured. I'd like to put something like that in my Mac26S and would welcome opinions on: (a) type of material to use considering things may get wet occasionally, and (b) the convenience/nuisance or not of gluing the suff to the floor to prevent flotation around should substantial amount water get in. I will greatly appreciate your comments.
