The market drive for marine diesel is really strong in Europe.
My sailing partner in the UK told me the marine diesel is not taxed so fuel costs go from the equivalent of $5 per gallon down to $1 per gallon - ergo all the sailboats use diesel...

I understand that in Europe, the sulfer content in the fuel is less....that would take away some of the stink
