paj637,
Where did you buy your replacement trailer. I am in the market for a similar trailer. I would appreciate any information you care to share about dealer service and price. Feel free to send PM if you prefer. Thanks

I need a new one too! My 2005 Mac 26 M painted trailer is getting pretty rough!

For those in the mid Atlantic area I bought a dual axel aluminum trailer from Westco trailers, through Chatlee Marine, in NC cost $3500 with torsion bar axles, SS brakes and LED lights. Tows like a dream. Let me know if you'd like more info

Uncle Jim

Westco is on my list. I have a friend in Charlotte that has a Westco trailer for his go fast (second childhood) boat. He says Westco is fantastic to deal with. Being the tightwad that I am, I am hoping that we are in a buyers market. I will not know though until I try to negotiate. Thanks for your input.

Macgeek299,
Where are you located? Maybe we can get a better price if we buy in bulk. At least it's worth a shot. Set up should be the same for both boats.

Win, Macgeek, and others in the mid-atlantic, let me know an I can call Westco and talk to the owner and maybe get the ball rolling for you. I too did my homework on trailers and different manufacturers and Westco did have problems on occation but it was the way the customer felt he was treated that sold me. I had to drive over 300 miles to drop the boat off so thay could ensure a proper fit. The drive back was sure better than the drip out :x :x :x

Versatile,
Interesting thread you've started. Good to hear that you are now satisfied with the dual axel.

Torsion bar suspension... I wonder how it seals off the salt water.
What maintenance can I do now to prevent any  later.

Kind Rgds
