First of all congrats! I know you'll love her.

Yes! There is a fellow that comes here sometimes (I'll let him out himself) that is also one of my customers at West Marine in Orange Beach getting ready to slip his boat at Bear Point Marina just across the line in Alabama. I have seen/talked to other M owners in the area as well. I don't know who but there is a M owner who keeps his boat in dry storage in that big metal warehouse next to the Oar House on Chico Bayou.

There are also several X owners in the area including myself. I live in Foley but usually sail east towards Pensacola Bay, Quietwater, Navarre etc. I love to anchor up for the night at Fort McRae and have met several Mac sailors there over the past couple of years.

There is another X sailor I haven't met who keeps his boat on a private dock on the north side of the Intracoastal between Quietwater and Navarre. I see him out quite often when I'm over that way.

I always love to meet other sailors so if you don't mind consorting with an "X" owner I'd love to get together sometime. Also, check out the B.E.E.R. cruise. We have a facebook page too: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id= ... 3669149625 Lots of Mac sailors show up every year.

There's also the Florida 120. It's more for smaller boats but several Mac'ers do it too. I've done it the past two years and it's a lot of fun but not sure I can attend this year.

Anyway, lots of Mac sailors in the area. Some frequent this site and some don't. Congrats again on the new M.

It's very possible. Let me check my work schedule next week. I'd love to come help out.

We trailer our :macm: form Texas about two times each year. This year we should arrive around June 2nd and depart around June 11. We stay at Holiday Harbor or Perdido Key. We enjoy going to Ft. McRae and other areas while we are cruising in this great area. Congratulations on your new :macm: .

HART,

Just found some local 26X sailors here in Pensacola (not on this forum), they have committed to assisting me in rigging my sails.

Thanks for the consideration, and we will see you for sure in June at the BEER cruise!

Respectfully,

Awesome! Tell them to come to B.E.E.R. too. We need more Mac's to show that Hunter crowd who's boss, lol.

I went out today. Sailed in the Gulf this morning, messed around inside this afternoon. It was a blast. Won't be long till you and I can start having Mac races.
