Can anyone give me the GVW on a stock 98X? I am looking at a tow vehical.

That depends on you. Here's ours so far

2350 hull
+710 trailer
+250 motor
+020 motor rigging & prop
+120 two 12V batteries
+160 24 gallons gas & tanks
+080 10 gallons of water
+050 Cooler with food & ice
+050 Cooler with drinks & ice
+040 Anchor, chain & rode
+030 Porta-Potti w/water
+020 Bimini, stove, swim ladder option

When mine was new with a Suzuki 60, it should have weighed:
2,350 hull
+710 trailer
+350 (minor fuel), for a "book" total of 3.410.

The boat was essentially empty, but Mayflower begged to differ @ 3.740, gross trailer weight. They'll be happy to weigh yours for about ten bucks.
  • * Be sure to get a reading with just the trailer axle on the scales, your net axle weight (mine was 3,560)
    * Then release your hitch and crank the trailer's nose wheel down onto the scales to get full trailer gross wt. (3.740)
    * The difference is your tongue wt. (only 180 pounds on tongue, too light)
