Newbie here in the UK and brand new to sailing
Hi everyone , im a newbie here and brand new to sailing , i have a mac 26x and if my Qs seem silly its because i know nothing but wish to learn , i have downloaded R/Ms how to sail and have been with one experienced person only once ,I have moved from power cruisers to sailing (fuel costs) and noticed the mac under power tends to slip across the water , is this norm , i released the ballast and lifted the keel and rudders ? reading some comments on here have already started to broaden my knowledge , frinstanc rudder settings , i have the outboard linked to the rudders and therefore cant lift the engine ? Which size spinnaker will fit the mac 26 x ??? many thanks for a great forum .

Hello tankie, and all other folk here,
Like you I am new to this group (this is my first post), and have learned a lifetimes knowledge by reading the posts. I grew up in southern California and learned to sail there, and hope to have my own boat in the next two years.
Get out with light winds behind you, fill your main, turn off your engine, and glide and listen!
Fair winds, always,
Capt. Grumpypants
