That was bad...you are nearly in the same class as the good Dr. (aka Admiral of the Macgregor Navy Catigale).

John,
Find yourself with a drop off were you can ck the centerboard out. Make sure you are bow in if you sleep the aft. berth.
I have beached many times at the Northern Sand bar in Pelican Bay, Cayo Costa,FL and drop off is 5 ft. deep 8 ft. from the stern beached stern to beach.
One time on a full moon I awoke with 1.5 ft freeboard at the bow, I slept well and when I awoke I was wondering why my feet were hitting the transum, I was at a 30 plus degree down at the bow, all I did was give a little shove and off the boat floated. :o
Dave
PS: Isn't this fun what you can do with a Mac.! Like Cranking your tractor and don't have to worry about digging in.

Thanks everyone for the pictures and advice. Being a lifelong keelboat sailor I have to break my phobia about letting the water go away from the boat :| I never even let my v222 dry out unless I had to fix something.
