HI All
we are the new owners of a 2003 Mac 26M located up on the Fraser Coast.
We finally put her in the water a couple of weekends ago, and did a bit of a shake down cruise ( dad had to over come all those boat ramp fears - he's been sailing big boats for too long)
anyway she is a beaut, and the following weekend had mother's day over on Moon Point Bank and Sandy Point.
ahh.. boating on a sunday.
We met up with Tony, also a new owner from Bundaberg, and he and I were considering a raft up in that Christmas/New Year period.
So just testing the waters, and wondered if any other Mac Owners would like to explore Fraser Island and surrounds.
Disembarkation 27th Dec 0800 is at the Hervey Bay Marina - 7 Lane all weather Boat Ramp and full Marina Facilities and trailer Car Park
not sure of all the anchor spots yet.. but we will work up an daily passage plan, but try and snook down to TIn Can Bay and back at Hervey Bay for New Years Eve.
Hope to hear from you all
Paul and Karen and Eliza

Paul,
if your willing to let Mexican's (Victorian's) come along, we're entertaining the idea. 2 Days hard driving each way and around $1200 in fuel would see us there. We would normally be off somewhere sailing Off the Beach boats at that time of year, but since moving to a Weta, there is no Nationals as yet. Meaning that we need to find somewhere to sail during the Xmas break.
I've wanted to bring the Mac up to God's country, but was unwilling to do it unguided. We went through the area 4 years ago on a yacht delivery when we were deciding on buying either a keel boat or a bigger trailable. Guess which way we went?
Please keep us informed, and we'll confirm our attendance a bit closer to the date.
Regards
Brian & Val

HI Biran & Val
glad to have you up here - I'd say the passport to come over the boarder is your Mac!.
Ill keep you on the list!
hmm well if we get one more boat = 4 we might be able to get that first Mac Nationals sailed? should we approach the Hervey Bay Sailing Club to Host - One Race... 3 classes - Spinnaker, Non Spinnaker?
