Anyone willing to give a ride to a visiting Yank?

Post by NiceAft »

A friend of mine and his wife are going to be visiting Australia next December. Yes, I know it's a year away, but I was just wondering if any of you folks down under would be willing to give them a different view of your country than they will get from the standard tourist traps? Just wondering if a few hours on an :macx: or an :macm: is a possibility?

Australia is a pretty big place, Ray - it's not unlike the size of the USA. You might want to be more specific about where your friends will be visiting?

Good advice Ray and as for sailing opportunities it's an island so totally surrounded by coast, December early may be ok but would be hectic late Dec or Jan but then again could be better for those holidaying at that time, we rarely step out at that time and hopefully the boat will be sold by then but otherwise would be pleased to help.

As I said,
it's a year away
. Thanks all for stating the obviouus. I know how large Australia is. Duh :!: I am only asking a question. :D If I don't receive any offers, I don't need to proceede. If there are people who are willing to give a ride to these folks, then, when there are some set plans, I can inform people, if my friends will be in the area of those (if any) who volunteered.

Ray

PS. Thanks boblee. I'll put you down as a maybe. I hope you have success with the sale of your boat.

A long time off, but, if they are in the area and have the time.

We sail out of Batemans Bay about 3hrs south of Sydney by road.

I trust they are good company.

Keep us in mind.

C ya,
Clemo.
