This is worthwhile. If you are ever in an emergency while on the water, this will give your position.

anyone with an Android or iPhone can download the (free!) TowBoatUS app, which allows the harried him or her to relay the phone's (and boat's) Lat/Long position with the tap of a finger. The towboat captain will instantly know your position within a few square yards as opposed to, say, a few hundred square miles.
Two other features of interest: First, you can text, e-mail, or post your position on Facebook to anyone—friends or family. It's also worth noting that you can relay your Lat/Long position using your VHF even if you're out of cell range.
Pretty cool. I've tried it both at home and work [not really sailing weather in Delaware] - dropped the pin within 20' of my actual location both times.
Drag Queen works at least for the upper Keys. I have't tried it on West Coast on water but at my home in Cape Coral alarm will go off less than 100 ft.
Good thing to have if your anchored in grass with a danforth and winds/current are high.
Sleep much better. and yes it's free!
A Prudent Captain will use any and all means to Navigate and safety at hand.

Excuse me?... Is that something like 'Priscilla, Queen of the MacGregors!'

Not knocking you Dave! Beginning to wish I hadn't bought a Blackberry.....
I used the alarm on my Garmin 760c last summer. Because of the swing at anchor I was up all night during a good storm blow (that doesn't include crossdressing!).
