Kentucky Lake

Looking into the possibility of doing some cruising in the Kentucky Lake/Barclay Lake area this summer or early fall for a couple of weeks. Anyone have any experience there? Any suggestions about how to find some place to leave the tow vehicle and trailer? Still a newbie!

I'm also planning to take the boat up to Kentucky Lake this summer around the same time. If you and other macs wanted to meet up that would be great. I'm planning to drive up this spring and scout out some launch areas. I'll keep you posted on my findings.

Put me on the "keep informed" list.

I went thru Kentucky Lake several years ago when I ran the Cumberland and Tennessee rivers. There was a PIKL (Party In Kentucky Lake) and an OCTPIKL (October PIKL) there a few years ago but that effort has seemed to fizzle. They made some deal with a campground in LBTL to set up a home base complete with canopies and parking.

We have several irons in the fire just now but by summer I'm hoping they will have all worked themselves out.

Have not been to Kentucky Lake but it is a place I've heard is nice. Seems I read something years ago about someone renting Macs on the lake.If you guys do go,I'd also like to hear about it.
