It was difficult for me to raise or lower main when I first got my boat. Then I learned on this forum about applying Sailkote to mast groove and sail slugs. Worked for me. Now I do it at the beginning of each season and have no problem raising or lowering main.

We were all in the county Jail, doing 30 days for non-support of this Board......

Hey, that's a good idea everyone!! If the Board has saved you any money/time working on your boat

Tithe 10% to the Board here

Yup, I did succumb to the topping lift.

Really, I would never want to go back to the backstay.

I gave at the office - Heath got me for writing bad checks but i ended up in the clink with catigal and beene anyways. We would still be there if Highlander had not bailed us out.

I really have nothing to say in the matter except one word of advice:
Make sure you check the little list on the bottom of the page to see who is online before your post the size of your pirate booty, watch out for any avatars with the tag 'NSA' on it.

There are few old salts in the harbor here that call the masthead box a 'pecker-head' but those guys are so old they pre-date the age when mariners were exclusively males. I think that's what got everyone saying "chicken head" (after the lass's came aboard) but I have no proof.

So guess u r saying ur not going to pecker - up to this occasion because u got no "B" 's or ur scared of heights & can't get ur wee P/H up there on top of the mast head , so I guess ur mast is laying on the mast crutch a lot while u r scratching ur Hm head !! :D :P

Anyone seriously messing with the Main should consider the Colonel King Main Halyard Mod - continuous loop halyard with downhaul. Great for singlehanding and no spaghetti in the cockpit.

Im getting tired of my genoa shape and am thinking of removing my CDI next season and going to tom's HANKS...if I do this I will put a similar looped jib halyard for the foresail.
