Thoughts on New Handheld GPS?

Im in the market for a new handheld gps. Been looking at an Etrex venture or a Megallenxplorer200. THe first rate first mate and I usually go on a motor holiday every fall, so thr explorer with the map feature might be kinda cool, but not sure . Any thoughts??

I have a Garmin GPS 76. Excellent piece of kit, I use it on my Mac 26x out in Malaysia and it comes pre-programmed with the major navigation bouys even in some of the more obscure ports in Asia.

I especially like the anchor drag alarm, just tell it the radious, set it and sleep in peace. It appears to be very well made and floats (haven't tried it though).

I have a trex for hiking and backup for coastal cruising, but it doesnt have all the useful marine functions like the 76CS

I have the Garmin 76c and am real happy with it. On the road it is great. You can make unplanned side trips and it will always recalulate the route for your original destination. Haven't used the unit on the Mac yet but will in two weeks. Bought mine at gpsexplorer.com
