Galvanic Corrossion on Centerboard Hanger

UUUGH!
I was having the bottom coat removed. So I took out the centerboard to strip & paint the CB cavity. & I found this:

I thought I painted these correct. But it must have been a few years ago. & I may not have known better then to barrier coat or prime ur metal properly & then use an appropriate bottom paint like a Trilux 33 on metal :P

Let others be forewarned. There's a 2 week back order @ Broadway Yachts for CB hangers :x

While speaking of galvanic corrosion, regular checks of the aluminium trailer is definitely worthwhile methinks. Aluminium frame + steel bolts without a barrier are a likely long term risk. Im hoping to be able to add some barium chromate to those joints soonish.

My 97 has a stainless pin, that one looks brass or bronze. the flat plate is also stainless steel, there should be no corrosion unless two different metals.

Looks like you could easily fabricate those using stainless.
