Help a fellow M sailer out!
I need a template for both bulkheads and the bi fold door for the M. Mine is a 2008 but I'm pretty sure the bulkheads are common to all the M's and the Tattoo. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I'll give you 20 bucks apiece if you can make me some crisp outlines, on say butcher paper, fold them and mail them to me in a big envelope. I'll pay the postage too. I would suggest picking a straight edge of each panel, blue tape the paper to the sraight edge as a baseline, and trace from there. Some of youz guys are pretty handy, what do you think, help a brother M sailer out?

I don't mind doing it, but I have a 2013. Do any of you guys know if the patterns are the same?

Re: Help a fellow M sailer out!
Lee,
PM your mailing address and I'll send them tomorrow. The bulkheads are fitted to the hull and headliner, but otherwise not critical. The doors can be ripped to width 13-7/8" and shaped to the patterns. Again, nothing fits tight, so you should be able to get close enough.
Got the patterns as close as I could without taking my boat apart. You may want to make a set out of cheap material just to be sure the two boats are the same (and to work the fit up).
Let me know if you need any gaps, etc measured.
Jim

Re: Help a fellow M sailer out!
My thanks to Jimmyt for the quick reply. The plan is to mock them in cardboard to check for fit before cutting material. I think I'm going with Nidacor for light weight. I'm considering a smoothed epoxy edge to dress the raw honeycomb edge. I'll post pics.
The old ones were thrown out by the original owner in an attempt to make a daysailer layout.

Raining last night and tv was terrible. Glad to spend some time on the boat - even if it was in the garage...

Looks like you guys are getting some heavy weather down your way. There's a cutoff low to your west pumping that rain right at you!

Re: Help a fellow M sailer out!
Here in East Texas it's been raining and storming for four days and night.....only 36 to go
It's been kinda like the old saying about a cow and a flat rock
I've actually thought about removing the door and forward bulkhead on Dauntless....mainly to give Me more space in the vee berth. Glad to know they aren't supporting too much

Re: Help a fellow M sailer out!
Thanks to Jimmyt for the templates! They got here today and they're just the ticket. When I get some time I'll post pics with no bulkheads in case anyone is curious, along with the backstory.
