that is his only ad.
Still, at this point my interest in that boat has entirely waned. At first I thought I might be steering some potential Mac owner of modest means like myself to what looked like it might be a possible, if "iffy" on account of the engine, winter bargain like I'd found. Now, I sort of regret having brought it up at all.
I think the opposite, well done for highlighting the ad, if it was legit it would of been a great buy for someone, but it does give posters a chance to point out some of the things to watch out for.
When I bought my X, the motor was in unknown condition and running rough, so I offered and paid a price taking that into account. My motor was not just a bad carby causing a miss, but the electronic control board being naffed.
Because I didnt really pay for the motor, putting a good secondhand unit on was already in the budget, overall I ended up paying around $7 to $10,000 below what they sell for here including the second hand motor.
If I would of paid what they usually sell for AND found the motor needed expensive repairs I would of really struggled to get it on the water in the short term.
Buyer beware, if it seems to good to be true then it probably is, if they say it has a small cheap / easy to fix problem with the motor, tnen why havent they fixed it?
