Farewell / a fine boat looking for a new family
Hello,
After a few years sailing in Saskatchewan on the lake Diefenbaker, my company is proposing me a position abroad. I am thrilled by this new experience, but I will have to make a really tough decision if I want this to happen: I will have to leave my boat behind!
Nothing lasts forever of course, though I am surprised that this part of my life is already over and that my boat will begin a different journey. I have the feeling I got it yesterday!
To say that in a more concise fashion, there is now a fine MacGregor 26X available in Saskatchewan for anyone who wants one. It is full of good memories and ready to live new adventures.

Sorry to read about having to get rid of your Mac, but it's nice to read it was because you have moved up in your company.
Have you place an advertisement in our classifieds section, it's free?

I think Hobie wants another 26X to tie together with their existing 26X to make a 52X (or 26X²) catamaran. So, maybe Hobie is going to buy Alexis' boat?
*shrug*
Congratulations, Alexis. Hope you're still able to get out on the water, even if it's not on your boat.

Am wishing you fair winds & full sails Alexis! Opportunity is just that: Grab & Reach for The Brass Ring! While I haven’t been here and interacted with you before, Ray has! That says it All for me! Lol. Your boat should sell quickly, which may be a Blessing or a Curse, so: Think before you Post
Idk if you have to pay for storage; but I’d consider $wallowing a Season for the Right Reason, which would be to save me from making a move I May later regret…
YMMV; Either way, I wish you Success & Prosperity

Thanks! The destination is France... it is where I am from, so I won’t complain! I will keep on sailing for sure, though I may not find a mac as these boats are less common over there and maybe not as suited for the water condition.

I though about keeping the boat but I will be away for three years at least. I am not even sure I will be in the same area when (and if) I return. I think there is too much uncertainties to keep that boat in a storage. Non sailing boats are the saddest, I prefer see her go! (but I will shed a tearGazmn wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 8:11 pm Am wishing you fair winds & full sails Alexis! Opportunity is just that: Grab & Reach for The Brass Ring! Though here is an important question: will my boat be port or starboard?
