Saw some of my sailing buddies use rigging knives and they have a neat pointy marlin spike. I got to borrow one when my tack blew out on my genoa and I had to repair underway. Works really well to pull out stopper knots that have been under tension for a long time. Who has used one? Any one have any brand recommendations or links?
Unless you want to carry that in your pocket all the time, get a rigging kit that comes with a much more usable spike, a fixed blade knife, and pliers, and sheath that you can hang up somewhere. It’s made by curry in the UK.
There is also a folding specialty knife made from metal that will not rust, but is brittle. That comes with a pretty small spike, but is a much much lighter carry.

I have one hanging in the companionway. I had the intention of carrying it with me at all times, but my (single-hand) sailing has become pretty routine now so I've gotten lazy.
I have a leatherman multitool but i would prefer a dedicated marlin spike. 30 seems like the sweet spot for stainless. I dont think i could justify 300 ixneig
