Hey all - came across another ad with this custom swim platform (looks like it can be raised in tandem with the engine?)
But then I noticed that the rudders are removed completely. Other photos showing this boat used as a power boat (sans mast) but others have the mast/sails.
I like the platform but how would you sail without rudders? No financial interest in the boat - just looking to purchase my 26X!
Apologies if this has been discussed before - I didn't see any postings on it!

Looks nice but as you stated I don’t see rudders.
Rudders are always in the way.

The platform I made that I copied from Profusionmarine.com allows me to have the rudders still usable. I just have to turn the helm side to side to drop them. Take a look at the other thread. You’ll see what I’m talking about. Tony

Not only do you not see rudders, you don't see rudder hardware. Except for the first picture you don't see a mast. This is a Mac trawler; no rudders needed.

Hi!
This guy maybe using the engine and sails in tandem as a ‘power sailer’ when out and about with rhe sails.
So it not as much of a heresy as one might think.
Lots of Macs have done something similar in light wind conditions or in heavy seas for stability and control.
So it’s not a purest approach but it is a practical one. Kind of a so what.
I like this operator. Thinking out of the box and being practical!
I did also notice that this boat has three different props.
A different one in each picture … black / white / grey.
The platform looks nice with a good useful area.
Nice boarding ladder too!
Best Regards
