I have a fused power cable running from my battery straight to the stern of the boat under the rear berth, then dissapears into the foam at the transom. Do I assume this is the cable that eventualy feeds the main swithboard midships??
Just seems a very long route to go back on itself................ and I have no power at the switchboard.

Just a guess
But if your seeing a fusable link its the starter cable for your motor. Switchboard on my 05 is port side of companionway up high.

what size cable?
Like Divecoz said, If it's a fused cable and rather large, it must go to your outboard , and exit somewhere in the motorwell area. It is possible that your dealer added a non-stock 12 volt power outlet near the stern, but that too would be visible. The breaker panel is located port side near the companionway, and is connected by small "Romex" style #14, or #12 wires running from the battery laterally to port. Nothing fancy, just a simple stripped piece of house wire.
