We solved our problem for a place to hang clothes. Our Sunday Church clothes would get wrinkled during weekend overnighters, and always seemed to be using up good cabin space when laying or hung at various locations.
SOLUTION: A curtain rod hung in the HEAD, using an alum. rod that hangs loose in standard open end rod "cups" that attach to the wall. It removes easily by simply lifting it out of the "cups". Works great. Looks good too. Head remains functional, with no problems.
Hope this helps someone. (Im not sure if this idea is workable in the Mac-M, because of position of the pottie)
Look mam... they have legs on their hand towels!
ok little lame ----
Good Idea though.... I thought about something similar to doing that... IF and when I buy a Mac...

Blue...anyone using my church pants for hand towels is gonna hafta walk home....
By the way, hurry up and order a new Mac. You and yours wont be disappointed.
I can't remember who told me about it, but one of the members here installed a closet rod between the aft side of the aft head bulkhead and the vertical surface aft of it over the aft berth.

I didn't post that mod, but did same for our boat. It's a good use for an awkward space. I rigged up a pair of pulleys to a plastic coat hanger so you can reach in and pull on the continuous line, which allows you to pull things furthest back up to the front.
I removed the head door on my X. It was always getting in the way and I usually sail alone anyway. I put a SS grab rail along the top and hang a beach towel from it. Makes a good hand hold, towel holder and privacy curtain for the head, while allowing good ventilation.
