I think she looks fantastic! Great picture.
Oh and the gap looks just right. You could make it tighter the closer to the wind you go but it really is not worth the agro as when off the wind you would have to loosen it again. As with all things a happy compromise is called for and yours looks fine. IMHO :|

I think you're probably OK. I usually let the sheet out until the leading edge just starts to collapse and then pull it in slightly. If you can adjust the sheet block position so that the leading edge collapses near the middle of the luff that's probably the best.

Looks like your main is sheeted in too tight. Maybe you did that to get a good photo?

I was in really light air on Lake Ontario, and if I let the main come over where I 'thought' it should be, it luffed.

I was making about 3 kts on 5-7 kts of breeze or so, heavily loaded for 5 day trip.

Thats pretty close to the wind for a spin around these parts. Wind can pick up quick. You want the luff as tight as you can get it in for reaching. Yours looks good from what I can see.

,,,what do I know too?? Thats why I post...

:D

Compared to home base (Upper Hudson river) Ontario is nice and steady wind, and nice visibility on the wind too. The Admiral has really gotten into sailing this year with our trips to Ontario and Nantucket/Vineyard with real sailing air..

:D :D :D

Closing the slot while pointing is one reason I mounted a dedicated hound and block 1 foot up.

Boredom was the other.

I'd say at 50 AW the sheet set is about good to go.

Git er done!! (Trying to live up to my avatar)

If'n the question was directed at me, in the second pic you can see the Genny sheets still attached. (outside jibe.)

First pic, inside tack same sheets with a clip to change over.
