Looking at the specs, she should be hauled with a vehicle with a 5,000lb tow rating.
Displacement - 2865lbs add motor and equipment and you are looking at about 3300lbs or so and a trailer at about 1500lbs takes it close to 5000lbs.
The pics show a double axle trailer so it may be even heavier than 1500lb
In the Sail Magazines 2007 Buyers guide, it says Italian design and "the most severe safety certificate issued by Germanisher Lloyd".
I notice that Odin Marine, the Canadian distributor is displaying at the Toronto Boat show this week. I am not sure if they will have a boat on display.

Mackman in Australia make a 28' not sure about the width but it is wider than the 26x it is almost a direct copy of. It has up to 100 hp motor.
I seriously looked at it before buying the M but with the extra weight (bigger vehicle) and slightly deeper draught and of course higher price $100,000 AUS.
It would be great to have the extra room but as there are only two of us the M is great so far but when we hit the road this year will tell the story.
Can probably send the specs if anyone is interested and they are still here.

Here's your 30'er, Cruising Worlds Domestic Boat Of The Year, the Catalina 309. It is amazing what you can do in 30' if you put your mind to it.

It's great to see them pic a small boat for BOTY. Still, while it's a great 30' boat it's beam is 11'6", it weighs 10,200# and costs $100,000. As nice as it is I think I'll stick with my Mac.

Nice boat - thanks for the link. Gotta say, that's one *beautiful* cabin.

Hmm... but lemmie see... 30' by 11'6".... guess that's not a planing hull, eh? No third-mode for that puppy!

You could say that about the Mac, too... but with a lot more $$ in your pocket."I think that for the purpose it was put on the water, to be able to walk down, jump aboard, and simply go enjoy it on a weekend, the boat not only hit the price in terms of value but also hit the mark in terms of use," remarked judge Alvah Simon, a world voyager.

Yes, but the whole point is having a "Mac like" 30 footer. Ie, shallow draft, fast motoring and trailerable. I know this is no small request seeing as the beam is a big issue for trailerability. However, even without the trailering, I haven't seen any 30 footer that is like a Mac. The Odin is a cool boat but I think we once figured it was really only about 1 foot longer which wouldn't be enough of a size upgrade to me. In conventional sailboats, there is quite a big jump in size from 28 to 30 but that also includes an increase in beam. That extra 3 feet of beam on the Catalina is probably going to give you 80+ extra sq feet...which on a boat is pretty significant.
