Do we need passports this year?

Passports not required till Jan 2008 for boats

Sorry for the delay in response, I missed the post.

I phoned The Bimini Bahamas imigration people, and they said passports were not required, a raised seal birth certificate and official photo ID would be fine.

I then called the US customs and Homeland security folks in Miami, and the said the same thing if you arrive by boat.

It now looks like we will return to No Name Harbor in Biscayne Bay, there is Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park there with a great beach and historic Lighthouse.

I will attempt to arrange for U.S. Customs to meet us there to help us check back into the country.
