Seat length

Post by 50/50 »

Trying to make a ' bolt on' raised seat modification to 50/50 but the boat is away at the momment.

Can anybody give me the dimension of the lifting seat of the 26X.

Thanks

The seat on my 2001 X is 31” (787.4 mm, 78.74 cm) wide. The seat has space between it and the fixed seats. On the hinge side (Port side) you have a ¼” (6.35 mm, .635 cm) space. The opposite side (side you lift from or Starboard side) you have a ½” (12.7 mm, 1.27 cm) space. So the total recessed area for the seat is 31 ¾” (806.45 mm, 80.645 cm). The seat is 16” (406.4 mm, 40.64 cm) front to back not including the back rest. Hope this helps, let me know if you need more information.

Are you planning on just having your new seat mod just sit on top of the (bolted) existing seat? If so, you might want to reduce the seat size so that it sits only on the flat area. The corners and edges have a radius molded in. The flat area (non-skid surface) is 30” (762 mm, 76.20 cm) X 15” (381. mm, 38.1 cm). The measurements in my last post are for the foot print of the seat. They included the rounded edges.

Your welcome Gerry! If you have a digital camera, be sure to post a photo in the mod’s page.
