Hi Guys,
I have decided I want a new prop. The original on my E-tec 60 Has a 13 pitch and don't get up to the top RPMs. I believe I will try an 11pitch.
What I would like to find out is which ones are uncupped pontoon type, old-fasioned with big ears. This is the type mostly prescribed, right. I have searched the archives but don't really get a handle on an exact brand.

Quicksilver Black diamond w/ the torque flow hub seems to have a good selection and very affordable for most applications.
the 14" x 11 pitch has big dog ears so it won't cavitate.

Nick,
I have a Evinrude E-tec prop made of aluminum (14 X 11 about $115). I wanted stainless but we couldn't find one with 11 pitch. I hit the wot rpm's (5500) and have good power out the hole. At first the rpm's were a little high but extra weight took care of that. The gear ratio on the 60 is 2.67 : 1 and 2:1 on the 90. I don't know if that makes a difference.
