Builders Certificate

Post by daydreamerbob »

Hello Everyone:
For about 72 hours I have done very little other than obsess over a new 26M. I am planning to buy one in the next few days. In talking to the bank - they require a Builder's Certificate in GA and Coast Guard Registration as GA is a Title Free State.

Does anyone know how to get a copy of a Builders Certificate?

Anyone have great financing ideas?

Thanks in advance!

DDB,

I registered a 2005 :macm: in late 2006 (maybe January 2007) in Georgia. I don't remember having to submit a builders certificate or a Coast Guard document.

Are you registering with the Georgia DNR?

Here is a website that I used. Mine might have been different because mine was previously registered boat from Florida.

Good luck,
Jim

my 2001x came with a builders certificate,if you are thinking of buying a new 26m,why dont you aproach one of the dealers who support this site.

Bill at boats4sale,mr inmon or art, these guys all frequent the site and would i imagine be able to do you a deal on a boat+finance

and as for obsessing for 72 hours,it gets worse, all i do now is obsess about mods and sailing :)

every new boat has a 'statement of manufacturers origin' which is the document that transfers the boat title to the first owner.

Your dealer will have that.
