Rose Festival / Tallangatta Cruise

Post by brianhar »

Greetings All,
next weekend sees the Rose Festival Regatta on Lake Hume (Vic/NSW Border). This has some racing and some serious socialising on the Sat /Sun (don't worry about the racing bit so much, just drink lots!). On the Monday / Tuesday we'll be taking a cruise south from the Lake Hume Yacht Club to Tallangatta. Lake Hume rarely has the capacity to undertake this journey, being about once every ten years or so that the lake is up so high. It's about 30km each way. Tallangatta also has a good pub. We'll probably find a remote place further north to stay on the Sunday night.

Another idea is that whilst idiots like me are trying to race, Tallangatta is having a 50's Festival that just has to be seen to be believed. It's great :D

So how about it, come and join us and fly the MacGregor flag (not that we have one!) :(

If you want more details, look at the Albury Wodonga Yacht Club website, or contact me as I was a member there for some ten years.

Would be great to meet up
