They don't open until Feb 17 next year.
Their salmon bakes are quite limited until Summer.

We've been once with the kids to the salmon bake, that was enough for what they charge even if you come in your own boat. Bring some wood for a beach bonfire afterwards. We bought their overpriced bundle but did enjoy having the entire beach to ourselves for the fire.
It's an OK place to meet but the dock space is limited and because it is a park there are no dockside water or power facilities. The West side horizontal mooring area is also a neat place to spend a night. The island is a great place to wander but I did read about a big upcomming construction project that might make it less desireable for a while.
We had a nice late winter trip there last year.

Even then the docks were about half full.

I pulled in there last summer with a friend and we hiked around the island (3.3 miles). As I recall, to moor at the dock it costed $13.00 no matter if you stayed 30 minutes or all night.

We've stopped for a few hours before and not paid anything. During the high summer months they have a park guide who is usually a retired person who lives on a boat at the dock. (Just like in the state park campgrounds) They can be pretty diligent about collecting. We have just told them we aren't staying and the have been willing to leave us alone. Maybe having kids helps.
Other times of the year the park ranger usually make rounds around evening. He or she will check the pay box and then walk the docks looking for any boats that haven't registered. They also make the rounds in their boat of the park mooring bouys as well.
