Help! my wife hates ring-dings.

Does anyone make a kit to eliminate ring-dings on a MacX ? They appeal to my cheapskate nature but my wife has a hard time with them. I'm sure I could replace them piece by piece, however I'm not excited about 20 trips to West Marine.

I've learned to handle ring-dings, and making sure of lines, wires, secured properly myself. My wife won't secure lines, or mess with ring-dings. I'm better off that she refuses...(that way, when/if an error occurs...I can take the blame). -- so far, no errors

If your better-half helps with rigging, and ONLY complains about ring-dings, I think I'd up-grade to whatever makes her job easier. You're very fortunate to have a helpful, willing, better-half "deck hand"...

They do make ring dings that are easier to put on and take off, they have a sharper bend at one end that lets you just turn it into place.

I found it easier to replace the tiny ring dings we larger diameter ring dings.

I replaced some nuts with ring dings on some of the rigging/derigging preps my wife has on her checklist..this way she doesn't have to struggle with my tools-which i am apparently not good at sharing--especially if a tool is not used correctly...

If properly maintained these work Great! I use them for the mast raising system, spreaders (which I remove for trailering) and the forestay.
