Mast up storage in LA
Mast up storage in LA
I'm looking to move my boat from my slip in Long Beach, Ca to a mast up storage place. I called a few storage places in the greater Los Angeles area, but couldn't find any that accommodate mast up storage. Do any of you store your Mac mast up here in LA? If so, do you have the name of place you keep yours? Thanks.

Closer to Long Beach here in San Pedro I see mast up storage at the Cabrillo marina, belonging either to holiday harbor or the cabrillo yacht club. From it the cabrillo launching ramp is only about a half mile down a private street. I BELIEVE there are no power lines in the way, but of course you would have to check. Otherwise they have a hoist.

What?!!! You have a slip in LB for a 26' boat and you are giving it up? Is that in the downtown marina? What's the latest news on the whole remodel thing? I have my X in Alamitos Bay and I know they are no longer letting in anything under 30'. My understanding is that this is being grandfathered in so I'm safe as long as I pay each month and don't leave. If I do I won't get back in.Larry W wrote:I'm looking to move my boat from my slip in Long Beach, Ca to a mast up storage place. I don't really know about mast up dry storage, but it seems like around here, you're choices are limited just because of the bridges. The only launch areas I know of without a bridge to get under is Marina Del Rey, San Pedro, and Dana Point. I'm pretty certain there is no place you can launch between San Pedro and Dana Point without a bridge which kind of defeats the purpose.
