center console cover...

Post by jaycrawford97 »

Can anyone tell me where I can get a black center console cover to be kept on while in harbor.
Will have sail/boom cover in place, just want to cover wheel/gps/throttle, etc...
Searching, only found custom canvas.
Thank you!

I use a black barbeque grill cover that I purchased for $12.00 at Home Depot. I believe that the one I purchased was for a smoker. The first one I purchased lasted 8 years in the hot Texas sun. I am now on my second cover.

Tattoo Yachts also sells one:

The price is not listed on their website, but it is probably more than $12.

We have the BWY helm cover. I like it because it tapers down so when zipped on it cannot come off in winds or while trailering and needn't be tied down.

This is a newer one for them--their previous model was generic, did require tying, and beat itself to shreds on our cross-country trailering adventure.

I'm very happy with the new one--it's basically perfect and fits over our large 7" GPS. It will fit over their grab-rail as well.

I bought some cheap ($4.99/yard) Sunbrella type marine fabric at Walmart and made my own complete with embroidered boat crest and name. It turned out OK except for the seam around the circular panel that covers the wheel which seemed to be a bit too heavy for our machine. I may have to rip that back out next winter and redo it. It's secure enough. Just not exactly straight LOL! :D

BBQ grill cover works fine...

I had a custom cover made here:

very reasonable and fit perfect.
