So I have this Spinnaker

Post by 81venture »

A friend I know bought a house recently...the owners husband had passed and was a sailor

He found some stuff in the office building when he brought the property and brought it by

some SS hardware/pulleys and misc and I gave him $20 for the whole lot

But, he said he had two sails and brought them as well...one is small, and we have a dinghy here at the marina and we might try and make it fit that for kicks

but the other was amazing...he wasn't sure what boat it came from, but he texted her and she replied (at different times) they had a 47 foot (something), a 25' Macgregor, and a 40' Catalina.... so after opening it I realized its a spinnaker for a Mac25

So my question would be thus, and if I am breaking any rules I apologies

It's too big for my boat....but I told him I would put it up on the Mac forums

I'd post in the classified, but I have no Idea what it is worth....It's practically in brand new shape....

And if you want it send me a PM....he's a fellow Veteran so i want to get him a fair price and also offer it to Fellow Mac sailors before CL

so what is it worth? like I said it is in almost brand new shape...and very pretty

Link to a spinnaker already listed, although it was posted in 2010:

What will most likely happen, is that someone will see this thread and make you an online/offline offer. If that happens, may I suggest that you make a donation to the forum by using the link below?

So I have this Spinnaker

Hi, so do I, several
When I purchaced my 26X, I also aquired several additional sails for a Cal27. My thinking was it's only 1ft longer and they may fit. Well I found out the Cal26 has a 35foot mast and they are way to big. I have 3 Spinnakers, 2 Jibs, and 2Mains all in great shape.
My question is how practical would it be to cut them down to fit my 26X and how much would it cost?.
I know the size of the Main and Jib for the 26X because I have them, but what is the size of the 26X Spinnaker?.
Any advice would be wellcome.
Thanks again Bob.
