I have a 2001 MacGregor 26 X with a Raytheon Sport Pilot autohelm which communicates with a fluxgate compass. When turn the the stem to navigate, it works fine; when I return the stem to Standby, it continues to guide the wheel rather than disengaging. Is there a simple reason for this, or is the Sport Pilot malfunctioning?
