Remember Me (stay logged in) and secure
When logging in to this board, if you check the Remember me box, it will not require re-login each return visit.
Have any members found this isn't working?
Also, the address bar on top should show a "lock" or Secure connection. (https://)
Is anyone not seeing their browser show secure connections?

Re: Remember Me (stay logged in) and secure
Does not work for me.
Remember has never worked in as long as I can recall.
My address bar says 'Not secure', and starts with 'macgregorsailors.com...' No prefix at all.
Heck, if I simply go to the homepage by clicking on the banner, and follow the link back to the forum I'm logged out again when I get here.

It wasn't remembering me but then when I used the favourites link to the new forum it presented me with the log in page with my details already filled in so I just hit log in and here I am..........

Yup, thought it might be my browser. I can live with it.

Re: Remember Me (stay logged in) and secure
My work machine, Win 10 with MS Edge, shows it being non-secure. I tried FF, and got the red slash through the padlock.
But I seem to remember last night, when reading this on my iPad, that it did show the padlock in the address bar.
I have to log in every time, though it does remember my info. Both on my Win machine, and on my iPad, though the iPad prompts me to use the stored ID and the thumbprint reader, which works fine. I think it stays logged in now after posting, which it didn't do before this recent change just days ago.
Just tested that - yes, it stays logged in, and stays logged in after a refresh, which would kick me out before.

Thanks for the replies.
If it doesn't remember you, can you try clearing cache and see if that fixes it.
The SSL certificate is new and should provide a secure connection. However, it might need refreshing.

Cleared the cache, no difference in anything. Will try the iPad later.

I'm trying to sort this Secure connection thing.
If your browser isn't displaying in a "lock" (Chrome) or Secure connection on the address bar.
Could you try clearing the cookies?
The very bottom of this page

And try again and let me know.

No joy here either, Russ. I’m in Las Vegas @ the NFR. Neither iPad, nor Android show SSL, or remember me.

Re: Remember Me (stay logged in) and secure
So puzzling. All my computers (windows/mac) and devices (iphone, ipad) work fine.
All settings appear correct. SSL testing sites show no problems.
This is going to bug me until it's solved. My OCD kicking in.

Sorry to pile onto it, but didn’t work for me either. On my iPad now, and it’s showing the little padlock in the address bar, though, as it had.

Re: Remember Me (stay logged in) and secure
I just re-found the sight last night. My favorites page was delivering me to "Page not found" message and I had to go the Google route to get to the new page (I had about a week at Thanksgiving of no computer access, the change appears to have occurred then). I'm that computer guy who only knows how to do what I do, so everything is a surprise to me when it works. I usually only read posts and don't post much of my own.
Anyway, at this point I have a picture of a padlock in front of the "macgregorsailors.com" and, at least this evening, I did not have to log in again, so I think the remember function is working like you expect it should. I am using a Mac Mini desktop and Safari.
Hope this helps you figure it out. I know how that OCD stuff can get to you!
