Interesting speed comparison - a dedicated powerboat thinks 15-16 knots is pretty good - their top speed. Worth watching.

Quite a few M/X owners have posted that 15/16 knots is a attainable WOT speed.

And he's only spent $600 on diesel for the few short hops he's taken this season...

It's a house that floats. Im sure it's nice, but neither my purchase budget, nor my maintenance budget is that deep.

I subscribed a few years back when he was doing more sailing and sight-seeing. He's kind of fallen into eye-candy and trivial power boat maintenance lately. Changing batteries and installing a water filter isn't teaching me a whole bunch. In fact, if it wasn't for Syd and Taylor, there wouldn't be much point in watching it. Watching someone push the throttle up and steer for 20 miles isn't that exciting. Much rather see sailing.
