North Shore Erie Destination Advice

Hello all, considering a June trip w my father up from OH to the North shore of Lake Erie in Canada on the western end of the lake. Tentatively leaving from Huron or Sandusky. What are good ports and are there any good anchorages along the coast? We have about a week and want to put some miles down under sail but usually enjoy good food and quiet nights.
