I know a few on here have gone to bigger steering wheels at the helm station. I would, on the other hand, prefer a bit smaller, maybe a 10" or so, and a knob for assist. I am leaning more and more to a tiller pilot for an autopilot system, and feel this would be OK. I never had much of a resistance with the stock wheel, and with a knob, don't see much of a problem still!
I like the fact I could have easier access to the helm with a smaller wheel. Looking at all the suppliers with google, all I ever saw was same or bigger wheels!
Appreciate any info/links to this!
SMALLER steering wheel option?
The only 11" wheel I found doing a search was this one from Schmitt at Go2Marine.
These are a LOT lower priced wheels than those from Edson, etc., but the quality is good. I put one of their 6-spokes from Go2Marine on our Whaler. and it really looks good.

I have a 13-1/2" boat steering wheel with an original built-on rotating knob, for sale, .....was 100 dollars at BoatUS, fits the Mac X 2000 and probably all the Mac's. It is polished stainless steel, 5 spokes, dished 3-5/8" from back of hub to front of rim, or forward edge of hub to aft of rim if you prefer a reference when installed. Has gently finger scalloped backsides to the rim, like a car wheel. Works fine, used for a couple of times out, but i went back to the stock wheel with a rope winding. Make me an offer - It is like new but i don't expect to sell it without a reduction of course.
