I put my shore power inlet here.

It's easy to get to and very protected from any traffic and spray. Mine is a 15 amp, but it could just as easily be a 30 amp. I use a 30 amp to 15 amp adapter when needed at the dock pedestal and have a nice shiny 50' 12 guage yellow extension cord.

This area is easy to access from inside. Remove the panel at the aft end of the aft berth. From there you can easily run the wire forward under the aft berth to the battery area and the galley. I have my shore power breakers on the aft side of the galley along with my primary DC switch and panel. (My '96 has the factory DC panel way forward between the front windows which is now wired as a sub panel.)

From the breakers I feed my shore power charger and my GFCI outlets.

Thx Duane,
It just goes to show where my head was at. I didn't even think about going under the floor. I was thinking along the gunnel area. Sometimes I worry about myself.
