Sorry, can't make it this year since we went down this winter from mid December through mid January. It's beatiful country but I was really disappointed with the lack of wind. The 5 weeks we were there the wind only blew hard enough to really sail a couple of days. The group that stays there said it's better in the spring so you'll probably have a great time and I'll be jealous. The crossing we mad to the Baja side was great though. 14 hours under sail and about 72 miles. Even went from full sails at the start to a partly furled genoa before it was done and then the last 15 miles under power since the wind died at mid morning. Had to motor all the way from Baja back to San Carlos though. Be sure to take a lot of gas just in case. We had to find some extra tanks before we could make it far. All in all it was a good trip and a learning experience for someone that has only sailed in small Nebraska lakes.
