Measurement

Post by AWKIII »

Looking for a quick piece of information.

Anyone happen to know what the height of the boat is from the ground to the top of the cabin without the mast aboard?

How about total with from tire to tire?

Trying to see if a Mac M will fit in a garage for the winter.

Thanks!
Frank C

Don't have the answer, but remember that you'll need to measure to top of the stanchions, probably 15 inches above the sliding hatch? Depending on the trailer's attitude, the pulpit could be the highest point.

Thanks, Frank.

I was looking at the line drawings on the factory site and I think you are right. Will have to keep the nose down.

So the boat is about 6' from the sole to the sliding hatch. And we have another say 18" for stanchions and/or pulpit. That gets us to 7' 5".

Just need to get a number for bottom to the ground.

Also total width from tire to tire.

I measure from ground to top of sliding hatch: 87", from ground to top of stanchion post: 98.5", trailer width fender to fender: 96". Anything else?

I get a few inches less than K9, but a few inches plus or minus is going to depend on a lot of factors which are different on each boat/trailer combination; even the height of the hitch ball on your tow vehicle and how much air is in the tires can make a difference.

Not a question for me. My garage door opening is at least a foot short. short :D .

Good catch Bobby T. I missed that detail. My measures were definately for an X. I'll bet the trailer width is the same tho.

To Frank:

Just found out the Mac 26x was back up. Doing well, docking with a bit of skill. Suzuki 50 still dies at the wrong time, and local Suzuki folks have yet to figure it out and have given up. Think they are not too good at their craft, but have found out how to compensate for an engine dying when in a close situation.

Not my question.

My question, how many feet between the water and the top of the mast?

All my best

Cheers!

Joe,

On my X, measured on land, I get 32 ft. 8 in. from water line to top of mast.
