Rudder Depth (below transom)

Post by mssydnie »

Sorry to bother. My boat is slipped and can't measure. Need the length rudders extend below bottom of transom. I have a standard depth finder and also one with my Eagle chartplotter which I can program to read from depth of rudder tip to bottom. Can anyone help? Thanks.

myssdynie,

Pull a rudder up and measure the part that is wet.

Depth will vary an inch or two on how much stuff you have aboard and where you have it.
