Ive got the wheel/drum off my trailer and am seeing a circumferential pattern on the inner bearing race, inner race that sits tight on the axle hub.
Not sure if I should worry about this, since it normally just stays still while the bearing is spinning...anyone care to comment
Couple of pictures here
On edit: fixed bearing reference

I think you are looking at the surface that the seal rides on, the wear is normal, if it is bad you need to get a sleeve on it.

Thanks Rich - the bearing runs smooth and quiet, so it sure feels ok.

Yep, that rearmost shiny flange is indeed the seal surface. When I get one like that - all shiny - I will sometimes take a strip of emery cloth and just gently scuff it up a little so the next seal beds in nicely, but it's not critical.
