LIFELINE PELICAN

Does anyone know the part number or correct size for the Pelican hook on the life line? In getting the cover off our :macm: the tarp must have snagged the ring ding, pulled it off and subsequently we lost the plunger :? . Sent a fax to the factory 2 days ago - still waiting for an answer. Thanks.

Re: Problem Raising the Genoa

This weekend the Admiral and I will lower the mast, disconnect the furler from the bow and spray some Sailkote in all the channels and then pull, pull, pull :) When I checked the CDI site they say not to spray anything in the channels as it could collect dirt, etc. but if some of you have used it or...

Re: Problem Raising the Genoa

The slot in the furler foil has a tendency to narrow if it sits in direct sunlight without a luff in it. We always had to lower the mast to change out sails. Scott - do you mean that you put the Genny on with the mast down and the furler foil loose on the deck and then connect it to the bow when th...

Problem Raising the Genoa

The final weekend of "things to do on the boat" before we put it in the water and of course something goes wrong! We tried to put the Genoa on the furler only to have it stick about 6 feet up. The furler is a CDI, the boat is 3 years old. Last year we lowered the mast and bungee corded the...

Re: Broken Antenna

Will have to check this weekend to see if we have the same antenna - looks similar. Thanks for the info.

Broken Antenna

We're getting our :macm: ready for the season and have found our antenna at the top of the mast has been broken off. Also the antenna cable connection plug has also been "ripped" off (the piece which goes into the boat deck.) :( - is this original manufacturer's equipment or is it somethin...

Thanks, Johnnyonspot, for the clarification of the baby stays. We are at a mooring all summer so the only time we raise or lower the mast is in spring or fall, twice a year. I like the idea, Marc, of attaching a bungee to the furler and bow rail. Will make a note and remember to try that next year, ...

I'm probably using the wrong terms, March, the strain was on the right shrouds (are they also known as stays?) - the lines that run from the top of the mast to the sides of the boat.

This is the same problem we had 2 weeks ago when trying to lower our mast using the mast raising/lowering system. I was on the deck operating the winch - while holding / guiding the furler so that it didn't move on it's own. The mast almost immediately went to the left and was putting so much tensio...

We have the M on a mooring and need to have a launch take us out and back after sailing. The launches (there are 2) have about 5 fenders on their side, they have no problem coming alongside the starboard side. There is a bit of a long step down onto the launch but they have a tall hand rail to hold ...

FINALLY!! Everything is working, turns out it was the fuse in the engine. Must have blown when we first tried to hook up the batteries and start everything. The manufacturer (Suzuki) puts a spare right in the engine - for safety sake!

Well we returned from the boat yard with all the lights working - as you all have mentioned - it was a very simple solution - the blue wire for the control panel was connected to the wrong terminal. Next year I'm going to make a clear diagram of where everything is supposed to go (should have done i...

Appreciate the suggestions, we are heading back to the boat yard now. But there is no power to the switch panel inside the boat - we can't turn on any lights and we've replaced the fuses in the panel. The fuse in the battery compartment looked OK. It's got to be something simple (hopefully) but boy ...
